Project Description: "Inner Activity" is a series of immersive, multi-sensory VR experiences combining interaction design and game technologies, sound healing and vibro-acoustic therapy

techniques, physical set design, and concepts from meditation and spirituality to create

new forms of entertainment-based therapy and wellness modalities. The core experience utilizes the Oculus Rift and the SubPac tactile bass system for achieving full-body stimulation through synchronized audiovisual, haptic and olfactory feedback.

 

Conceived in 2015 as a MFA Thesis Project by Anshul Pendse, it has evolved from the Interactive Media & Games Division at the USC School of Cinematic Arts into a fully-fledged research endeavor set to blur the lines between interactive technology, immersive entertainment and digitally mediated therapy.
